The Monkey House

A tastefully appointed second-floor studio apartment overlooking a heavily traveled "monkey trail" through a primary growth ravine. Sleeps 2.

The Villa

The Monkey House sleeps two in a tastefully (at least in our opinion) appointed second-floor studio apartment overlooking a heavily traveled "monkey trail" through a primary growth ravine. Several of our guests have said, "It's like living in a tree house!" Enjoy peace and privacy on the living room/veranda amid the shade of the forest canopy or sip your morning coffee at the breakfast bar while gazing across Coronado Bay to the Osa Peninsula. Although not as large or elegant as some of our other suites, this one is our personal favorite and the veranda is the most peaceful spot on the property. With each check-in we give "monkey dominance lessons" to help you keep the little guys off the porch.

Amenities

  • 450 square feet of cozy/funky space
  • Fully tiled bath with walk-in shower with a really nice rain shower head
  • Air conditioned
  • Ceiling fans inside and out
  • Music Dock (but with a selection of CD’s if you aren’t the type with music on your phone.)
  • Wireless internet (this suite had trouble with a signal on the veranda so we gave it it’s own router!)
  • Full Kitchen with refrigerator, cook top, blender toaster, coffee maker, microwave, and all sorts of good stuff. If you don’t find it here, you don’t need it.
  • Welcome basket of breakfast foods, fruit and snacks (that’s because we don’t cook for you.)
  • Views of both ocean and primary rainforest (pretty amazing when you think about it.)
